Parent Coffee 3

 

MYP parents participated in the third online interactive coffee symposium on October 23, 2021 (Saturday) from 9 am to 11 am. The purpose of this symposium is to give parents an in-depth understanding of the school's IB MYP academic integrity policy and inclusive education policy.

MYP Grade 7&8 coordinator, Ms. Diane Lee presided over the parent symposium. Before the forum officially started, the host shared different MYP interactive bridges with the parents, such as parent-teacher WeChat group, Viber group, and Tuesday morning tea, and thanked the parents for participating in the student-led parent conference. At the same time, Ms. Lee also took this opportunity to invite all parents to participate in the Curriculum day to be held at the end of November.

The MYP academic integrity policy and procedures of our school were explained by MYP Grade 9&10 coordinator, Mr. Glicerio Manalo. Mr. Manalo shared the importance of academic integrity, some methods for parents, tutors, and teachers to train children to practice academic integrity and in completing their homework independently, and the different processes of handling cases of violations and its measures.

The MYP inclusion policy of our school is led by our MYP learning support specialist, Ms. Ainah Okano. Ms. Okano explained some keywords related to inclusive education, school referral procedures, and different learning support plans.

After the question and answer session between parents and teachers, the symposium ended successfully with a group photo.
